Seighford Lakes

Sport on both trout lakes has been fantastic this week with every angler catching fish and plenty of them. Barry Love had a superb day catching 29 rainbows up to 8lb, Barry fished a floating line and small Nymph's on the Railway pool to tempt the fish. Some of the best fish i have ever seen are coming out at the moment, fully fined bars of silver. Local angler Jock had the biggest of the 6 doubles which came out of the lakes, A fine rainbow weighing 14lb 8oz was part of a 11 fish haul taken on a black and green fritz by Jock.

A wide variety of flies have been working from small light nymph's fished static to lures pulled on intermediate lines. Sport will be great now with the water being fine and regular stockings going in. There are still a few places left for Iain Barr's new bank comp so get yourself booked in and give it a go you get a goody bag just for entering.
